Job Summary and Purpose:

This position will be accountable for technical product support engaging the Territory Managers and Ceva customers to create value and influence. There will be a heavy emphasis on intestinal health and coccidiosis control.

Within the business unit (with national or regional presence), act as the expert on technical matters of Ceva´s product range, responding to product related questions and issues, guiding /supporting customers, and Ceva’s TM to successful outcomes. Is involved in generating a solid network with professionals and key stakeholders in the industry. Is responsible for the continuous monitoring of the products, and therefore spends most of the time on the field.

Responsibilities and Key Duties:

  • Ensure product leadership: create a high internal and external level of confidence on the product: Implement the local customer plan based on the national strategy and guidelines. As first contact on the field, implement effective market support, follow-up the products deployment and generate evidence on products success. Review and update the plan of every customer during monthly meeting with teams and managers. Collaborate on the conception of technical articles.
  • Customers’ needs and relationship continuous improvement: Maintain relationship with customers through regular visits, events, or calls. Collaborate with all local teams to ensure execution of the plan.
  • Customer guidance, advisory and troubleshooting: In case of customer's troubleshooting, demonstrate responsiveness by ensuring immediate visit and taking necessary actions. Conduct customer visits and provide professional consultation and communicate on weekly/monthly based on the monitoring results and on yearly basis for more detailed meetings. Provide technical and scientific advice to customers and sales personnel.
  • Training, education, and knowledge management: Attend continuous trainings delivered by corporate, congress, seminars and event on his expertise area. Self-train on new technical updates to maintain high level of expertise and share the knowledge with the team. Develop training on technical activities with the aim to share knowledge with customers. Train local team to support them with the customers.
  • Collecting and reporting on customer’s feedback (data results, success stories, new issues…: Ensure valuable monitoring of the products by receiving, collecting, and analyzing samples from the customers. Share the collected information with the customer and stock the information in the tools for later projects. Ensures the quality of data. Give continuous feedback to the manager on achievements, problems, or recent customers updates. Communicate activity protocols and trial results to colleagues.

1. Scientific expertise management and network: Maintain network with Animal Health institutes, labs, universities, KOLs, suppliers of equipment to stay abreast of new technologies. Deliver diagnosis and expert support on demand

Technical / Functional Competencies:

  • Scientific trials and knowledge management: Ability to conduct trials and collect data in a scientific method.
  • Scientific approach and expertise: Ability to understand basic scientific diseases knowledge and product knowledge to follow protocols and rationales on field trials.
  • Customer's knowledge & approach: Understanding the customer's current situation, potential challenges. Ability to work with the customers to uncover unknown issues.
  • Ability to communicate and convince: Ability to understand, share and support the vision and knowledge with existing partners and internal teams ensuring the delivery of the key messages. Ability to ensure knowledge management on the domain expertise.
  • Organization & project management: Ability to prepare meetings with customers under supervision. Ability to plan the activities as project team member, under supervision, to ensure success of the missions.

Qualifications:

Education – DVM or associated degree with post graduate training in poultry diseases, nutrition and management. Board certification in ACPV preferred.

Work Experience – Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in poultry industry with demonstrated industry leadership preferred.

Recognized experience working with industry on intestinal health with emphasis on cocci control.

Other (consider certifications, specialized knowledge and/or training, etc.) -

Physical Requirements:

Able to read, write, and communicate in English

Standing and lifting 25 LBS

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in poultry houses and travel overnight. Ability to drive in a vehicle or sit on an airplane for up to 8 hours per day.

Travel Required:

40% domestic travel required with occasional greater requirements as needed.

1-2 international trips per year as required
