Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for laundering and maintaining the cleanliness of linens, towels, and other hotel items. This is a vital role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and other hotel items
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines
- Inspect items for stains or damages and report any issues to the supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Follow proper procedures for handling and storing clean and soiled linens
- Assist with inventory management by keeping track of linen supplies
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure timely delivery of clean linens to guest rooms
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Knowledge of laundry techniques and equipment operation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
