Position: Color Developer *Manufacturing Experience Required*

Hours: 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm, OT as needed. Monday-Friday

Salary: $19.00 -$25.00

The position is a 1st shift manufacturing position and reports directly to the Performance Improvement Manager and formulates and inspects product for color uniformity to meet customer requirements. Areas of focus include:

Job Duties:

• Developing formulas for wood stains by mixing pigments with paints/lacquers
• Determines composition of color sample
• Alters formulas if colors on product do not match colors on sample swatch
• Records formula ingredients/measurements/conditions for future reference
• Observes procedures in production painting/finish application to investigate causes of substandard color

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follows all safety policies, procedures, and programs; is responsible for individual safety and the safety of others.
• Establishes and maintains Company housekeeping standards
• Abides by the policies, procedures, and work rules established by the plant

Requirements:

• HS diploma, GED
• 3-5 years of paint matching experience with proven effectiveness on dealing with difficult/challenging colors and matches
• Ability to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision
• Methodical/analytical problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational/time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Experience using spectrophotometer a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
