CertainTeed Architectural Products is Hiring a CNC Operator (2nd Shift) Near Strongsville, OH

CertainTeed is hiring CNC Operators!

We are a growing Company building our Wood Center of Excellence for our wood ceilings offerings. In line with this, our Strongsville Ohio location is currently recruiting for two CNC Operators (one on 1st shift, one on 2nd shift).

Hours: 3:30pm -12am, OT as needed, Monday-Friday

Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 an hour

Essential Duties:

The position, reports directly to Operations and produces machined wood panels by setting up and operating a CNC machine. Focus includes:

  • Reading/interpreting blueprint designs of product to customer specification
  • Sets up router to manufacture arts; loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first run part and sample work pieces.
  • Makes tooling adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements
  • Periodically checks CNC machine to ensure positioning of tooling stays perfectly aligned
  • Maintains equipment by performing routine autonomous maintenance

Requirements:

  • HS diploma, GED
  • 3-5 years of CNC operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment with little or no supervision
  • Methodical/analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational/time management skills
  • Attention to detail
  • 2 year technical degree in Machine Technology or comparable degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
