Machine Operator (Adjuster) – Kirksville, MO Plant

Information about the Company: Cenveo is a leading North American manufacturer of envelopes. Hiring immediately for 3rd shift Machine Operators (Adjusters) in our Kirksville, MO manufacturing plant.

Machine Operator Pay/Schedule:

• Starting pay $18/hr depending on experience $1.25/hr 3rd shift premium
• 3rd shift 11pm – 7am; Training is on 1st shift -7am – 3pm
• Schedule: Mon - Fri / Sat required during busy season/ business needs

Machine Operator Responsibilities & Daily Duties:

• Sets up and adjusts converting equipment for safe and efficient operation.
• Start-up, adjustments, tolerances, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Change window rolls (overhead); Examines product for quality adherence.
• Assists in adjuster/operator training; Provides coverage if needed.
• Performs preventative maintenance to ensure consistent quality production.
• Overtime as needed; Compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Maintains clean machine and work area (sweeps, removes waste, etc).
• Other duties and assignments as required.

Machine Operator Requirements/Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Candidates with direct envelope: 2-4 years experience is preferred.
• No direct envelope: 18-24 months relevant mechanical experience is required.
• Advanced mechanical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Basic math skills; ability to accurately read a ruler; basic computer skills.
• Flexibility required with machine assignment.

Machine Operator Physical Requirements & Work Environment:-

• Regular standing, walking, carrying, climbing, reaching, bending, stooping.
• Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds with assistance.
• Exposure to machines/equipment, noise, hazardous materials (inks, glue, etc.)
• Must be able to work in hot or cold weather; Mental alertness
• Ability to handle high-speed delivery output in a standing position for full shift.
