Century Village Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Deerfield, FL

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic dental practice.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by sterilizing instruments and setting up equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Perform basic dental procedures under the supervision of the dentist
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients and assist with any necessary follow-up care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems (Epic)
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, filing, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred
- Current certification in dental assisting or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Proficiency in using electronic medical documentation systems (Epic) or similar software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children (pediatrics)
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and conducting patient assessments
- Basic knowledge of anatomy related to the oral cavity
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
