FUNCTION:

As the first point of contact for guests arriving to the Nugget, the valet attendant sets the stage for guest experience, warmly greeting each guest arriving in the valet parking area, assisting with luggage, and anticipating the guests needs. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Warmly greet all arriving guests at the valet entrance while providing courteous, efficient, and enthusiastic valet parking services. 
2. Accommodate guests requiring special assistance and aid
3. Report issues and/or potential problems to security or immediate supervisor to avoid traffic congestion and delays in the valet area. 
4. Assist in regulating the movement and flow of vehicles to avoid traffic congestion. 
5. Answer guest questions about hotel registration, restaurants, events, activities, and attractions. 
6. Resolve guest problems within the scope of authority, otherwise refer to the supervisor on duty. 
7. Report all alleged thefts or missing items to the supervisor and/or hotel security for further investigation.
8. Assist bell person with the movement of luggage as necessary. 
9. Assist the bell desk, answering telephone calls, and walk-up guests’ questions, in a professional and courteous manner. 
10. Ensure guests vehicles are secured after parking and keys are secured in the key box. 
11. Accurately complete guest claim tickets, ensure all necessary information is noted on the claim check i.e., vehicle dents, scratches and or damage. 
12. Match guest claim check number and the guests’ last name to the claim check on the vehicle/keys to ensure delivery to appropriate guest. 
13. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests. 
14. Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
15. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
16. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike. 
17. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager. 
18. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
19. Regular predictable attendance is required.
20. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Guest Services Supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 19 years of age.

Must be skilled in manual and automatic transmission vehicles. 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Alcohol Awareness Certification within the first 30 days required. 

Valid Nevada driver's license and clean 3-year DMV record required. 

PHSYICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation. 

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
