Responsiblefor translating descriptions of medical diagnosis and procedures into codes torecord health care data. Responsible forworking with the clinical staff to ensure coding is in compliance with codingand documentation guidelines and governmental requirements.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification (CCS-P, CPC, etc.) required.
• Certificate of completion of an accredited HIT program/credential boundrequired.
• Minimum one (1) year experience working as a coding specialist.
• Experience providing one-on-one feedback to providers preferred.
