Scheduler - Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Full time/Mon-Fri 9a-6pm Saturday as needed
What you will do in this role:
Schedule all new patients upon notice via telephone, in person, with a referring physician’s office, or fax.
Responsible for obtaining all necessary patient information to register the patient in Meditech as well as the departmental EMR system.
Obtain all required medical records from within and outside the system.
Schedule & reschedule any follow-up appointments as required.
Notify the schedulers and insurance verifiers for patients with pending appointments via email or fax as well as assist with insurance verification as required, check the status of a patient’s medical insurance to ensure that a patient’s insurance will cover required medical procedures or hospital stay as required.
Perform other duties including but not limited to, answering the phone, scanning medical records in to the EMR system, checking patients in the system as they arrive for treatment, mailing out the required physicians letters, ordering supplies and any filling as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
High School Graduate or GED preferred
2-3 years of scheduling experience
Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT Coding
Qualifications:
