CENTRO CULTURAL BACKGROUND

Founded in 1972 by migrant farmworkers, Centro Cultural del Condado de Washington (Centro) is a community institution for gathering, culture and community building. Today Centro serves as a hub for: arts and cultural events; economic empowerment for families; for community advocacy; supportive housing and stabilization; comprehensive food security services; public health initiatives; senior health and wellness; and year-round K-12 STEAM pathways. Our programs and services continue to evolve to meet the needs of our communities, removing barriers to health, well-being, and economic mobility to achieve prosperity and self-determination.
