Starting Pay: $70,940.73 – $84,706.94/Annually.

Position Location: In office - Fresno, CA

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and enhancing business performance for our organization. In this role, the Financial Analyst will analyze current practices and develop business process improvements as well as implement changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous performance. The Financial Analyst will lead the development of functional department budgets, assist with preparation of monthly financials and annual budgets, perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance, as requested, and provide financial analysis support for ad-hoc financial projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Analyzing and redesigning work processes and management systems using interviews, observations, data analysis, and various analytical techniques to identify performance and productivity barriers.
  • Working directly with employees and building relationships with managers to train, coach and influence them to change the way they work.
  • Providing support to managers to implement changes and ensure they generate measurable financial results.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective planning and analysis capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of CVRC’s business.
  • Routinely report to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: business unit financials, operational performance trends, historical and forecasted proformas via appropriate metrics. Suggest trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications on a monthly basis.
  • Lead scenario modeling efforts by conducting adhoc research by generating reports and analyzing data using Excel, pivot tables, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Utilize effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support.
  • Develop and execute processes to allow for routine budget reviews of company financial and operational performance, leveraging business unit analytical resources and tools.
  • Develop, lead, and execute the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for the company.
  • Prepare presentations in support of board meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the company.
  • Supports effective and efficient business practice.
  • Maintains positive business relationships, client confidentiality, good attendance, punctuality, and acts in accordance with all company policies and procedures.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Minimum 3 years of increasingly responsible experience in finance, continuous improvement and advanced analytical and solutioning skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Requires proficient working knowledge of using a personal computer and spreadsheet software such as Excel, and word processing software for e-mail and other required computerized functions.
  • Must have ability to perform difficult accounting functions, complete complicated financial and statistical reports and other related functions as required.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices of financial recordkeeping, accounting principles, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to work with technical accuracy, attention to detail, professional judgment, and compliance with instructions.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate workload to meet deadlines and to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner. 
  • Must demonstrate initiative, self-motivation, sound independent judgment, flexibility, strong interpersonal, skills, and excellent written and oral communication. 

PREFEERED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA Preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position may be required to travel up to 15% of the time to our other CVRC offices.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Professional office environment. Noise level in the office is low to moderate depending on area. Individual workspace assigned and varies from open cubicle to private office.
