Central Texas Heart Center is Hiring a Patient Services Technician/Front Desk Receptionist Near Bryan, TX
We are looking for an individual who has previous experience working as a medical receptionist checking in patients and scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate will be familiar with ECW and demonstrate excellent customer service skills with patients and other staff through a variety of communication platforms.
Must be self-motivated, accountable, dependable, organized and must possess strong ability to multitask. Must possess adequate computer skills with the ability to efficiently navigate/utilize electronic medical records. Bi-lingual a plus.
Main duties include:
Shift schedule Mon-Thurs, 7:45-4:45p most days (occasionally 8-5p), and Fri 7:45-12p
Work multiple phone lines scheduling patients
Check patients in/out in a fast-paced medical setting
Ensure information is updated and accurately recorded in patient medical record at each visit (checking ID and insurance)
Some experience with insurance benefits/referrals/authorizations preferred
Scanning/indexing documents
Managing multiple doctors’ schedules
Must possess strong oral and written communication skills
Must be detail-oriented, excel at staying organized, and manages down time efficiently
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Enjoys working with patients and diffuses situations by providing excellent customer service
Must have excellent patient relations
Possesses the ability to take directives from various levels of staff and assume responsibility for assignments
Eager to assist across other departments and perform all other duties as assigned
