Central State Hospital - Louisville, KY is Hiring a Hospital Risk Manager Near Louisville, KY

Passionate about patient safety? Central State Hospital is searching for an enthusiastic behavioral health professional to lead its risk management endeavors in a small, team-oriented, stand-alone psychiatric hospital. Prior risk manager experience preferred, but not required.

Job Tasks:

  • Coordinates and supports compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards related to patient safety standards.
  • Coordinates and conducts investigations of incidents involving patients and serves as a liaison with regulatory and investigatory agencies. Serves as the Facility Incident Management Coordinator.
  • Provides supervision and leadership to the hospital's Security Department.
  • Supports hospital's Environment of Care Committee (EOC) and related tasks.
  • Serves on or facilitates hospital committees, teams, and task groups as assigned.
  • Responsible for reports, audits and assessments to support continuous improvement, which includes, but is not limited to: dashboards, database entries, notifications, etc. for:
  • Patient Occurrences
  • Patient Safety Plans
  • Failure Safe Mode Effectiveness Analysis
  • Root Cause Analysis
  • Annual Patient Safety Survey Analysis
  • Board Committee Reports

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Nursing license preferred, but not required.

Experience Required:

  • Investigative experience preferred, but not required
  • Computer competency.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Experience working in a hospital setting preferred.
