The Warehouse Assistant will assist the Warehouse Manager in day to day operations involving a variety of maintenance procedures of warehouse, as well as unloading and organizing of materials. Duties also include delivery of materials to designated project sites in a safe and responsible manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Freight:

• Inspect and unload all incoming freight and check it in to the shop.
• Tagging the freight for the proper jobsite and putting it in the holding areas.
• Restocking all shop stock inventory, plumbing & sheet metal.
• Assist Warehouse Manager with both material receiving and returns.
• Assist Warehouse Manager with deliveries to jobsites, etc.

Shop and Warehouse Maintenance as follows:

General Shop responsibilities:

• All general cleaning of the shop, warehouse and yard facilities.
• Warehouse/Yard cleaned and organized daily.
• Ensuring storage containers are organized and clean.
• Ensure tools are kept in working condition and ready for use.
• Tool room kept clean and organized.
• Assist warehouse supervisor in tool room duties.
• Shop & Yard lock up procedures.
• Snow removal.

Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance as follows:

• Washing of all the company vehicles, trailers & equipment as needed,
• Assist with maintenance of Central Plumbing & Heating vehicles and equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s license with good driving record is mandatory.

INTERPERSONAL AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Will need to establish good relations with all persons we are providing service to. Must be able to facilitate prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Job requires the ability to lift and manipulate tools, sheet metal and materials, weighing up to 50 lbs.

WORK HOURS: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday. Hours may change depending on job scheduling.
