We are currently seeking a few energetic, outgoing individuals to work as a Physical Therapy Aide in our outpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation therapy clinics. This is the perfect opportunity for someone interested in attending Physical Therapy school or just looking to start a new career. We offer on the job training in all therapeutic exercises.
Job Description: PT Aides work under close supervision of a Physical Therapist and will perform only delegated, selected, or routine tasks in specific situations. An Aides duties include but are not limited to:
1. Cleaning and maintaining Work areas organized and disinfecting equipment after treatment
2. Observe Patients during treatment to compile and evaluate data on patient’s responses and progress, and report to the physical therapist.
3. Instruct, motivate, safeguard and assist patients practicing exercises and functional activities, under the directions of a physical therapist
4. Safely assist patients into or onto therapy equipment
5. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
6. Record treatment given and equipment used
7. Assist front desk Team with answering phones
8. Create future appointments for therapy
Strong communication skills required. Some experience in healthcare setting preferred.
