At Central Pacific College (CPC) we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about working with Children (ages 6 to 14). We are currently searching for a teacher to teach for 5 weeks from January 2nd to February 2nd. Please read below for more information.

Reports to: Director of Studies

Minimum qualifications:
▪ B.A. degree (in a relevant field - i.e., English, Linguistics, TESOL, SLS, Education, etc).
▪ Six months of experience working with children or those ages 4 - 14).
▪ Speaks English Fluently

Instructor Job Description

Main job duties and responsibilities:
● Prepare and review lessons for the day, making sure all materials are in the classroom and there’s enough copies of things for each student.
● Make sure all students are in class for that day and week.
● Keeps students in the classroom unless it’s break or they need to use the restroom.
● Maintain the class, making sure noise levels are kept down.
● Correct and help students when they need it.
● Report to Director of Studies with any issues (minor or major)
● Make sure the classroom is the same way it started as it’s left.
● Make sure students behave appropriately and if there is any conflict deal with it accordingly (e.g bringing it up to the Director or separating students in class).
● Motivate the students to learn English and do their exercises/activities
● Create a safe environment for all students.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12.5 per week
