The Systems Engineer will be responsible for analyzing user IT-related requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance existing and highly technical systems. The Systems Engineer will work with system owners to analyze requirements, implement best-practice methodologies, and integrate new technologies for enterprise data systems spanning multiple regions. Responsibilities: • Gather and analyze system requirements in the context of commercial best practices and the customer’s strategic direction • Identify technical and security risks and develop mitigation strategies to address risks • Prototyping technical solutions to address technology problems, gaps, and risks • Identify and analyze user IT-related requirements and procedures • Elicit and document user requirements from the customer and create systems engineering and project management documentation • Enhance existing systems by conducting use case analysis, automating existing business processes, and tailoring functional requirements • Review system capabilities and workflow to make innovation recommendations • Identify technology solutions to address requirements and conduct product evaluations for best fit within the existing organization and technical environment; evaluate technologies for suitability and applicability to address requirements • Facilitate business requirement understanding with developers, technical and database architects • Conduct business process modeling in support of planning and analysis efforts • Maintain project and program level documentation to help manage the development and enhancement efforts for an enterprise system Recommended Skills: • Experience translating business needs into actionable technical requirements • Effective written and oral communications in interactions with peers and customers to build relationships and accomplish day to day work and projects. • Successfully completes projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach • Works in collaboration with team and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts • Experience writing requirements on an Agile software development program • Demonstrates the initiative to learn internal processes and procedures. • Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud; certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamental are preferred • Experience with enterprise IT systems design and implementation • Experience integrating solutions in a production environment • Experience using project management of task management software such as MS Project, Asana, or similar • Experience identifying, analyzing, and implementing scalable solutions for optimizing operational efficiency of production systems and processes • Experience with requirements management and requirements documentation • Experience communicating requirements to software developers • Experience creating, drafting, and reviewing program documentation • Experience in problem resolution to include organizing and structuring solutions to complex problems • Experience producing schedules, maintaining existing project management plans, and planning new IT projects • Experience developing contingency plans • Experience with Project Management Frameworks
