We believe that who you are is just as important as what you do!By joining our growing Supplier Management team as a Supplier Management Specialist, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to develop strategies that align supplier performance with cross-functional team business objectives. You will be responsible for developing and managing supplier partnerships that enhance the cross functional team’s ability to deliver best-in-class customer service and innovation. How You'll Make an ImpactSupports Information Technology (IT) strategy by developing and managing supplier partnerships that enhance the IT team’s ability to deliver best-in-class customer service and innovation in the insurance industry. Collaborates with the IT Leadership Team and other key stakeholders to understand supplier needs and goals. Develops the sourcing, supplier engagement and compliance strategies from a category-specific lens, including partnering with internal customers to identify their product and service requirements, and collating these requirements to form a category view of short-term and long-term enterprise needs. Responsible for the end to end sourcing of products and services essential for IT operations. Provides proactive customer service to internal stakeholders by building rapport, and responding to requests in a timely manner. Ensures an excellent relationship between service providers and Central, including understanding needs of each party and addressing any issues in a pro-active manner.Establishes relationships with suppliers, manage their performance and risks and identify opportunities for joint improvement.Assists with managing IT suppliers in a consistent and cost-effective manner. Ensure products and services meet and/or exceed customer expectations. Assists with category research and capability comparison analysis for supplier selection and renewal. Validates cost benefit analysis and continually report financial progress. Develops appropriate strategies and levers to procure products and services at the optimal terms and pricing. Manages agreed upon contract terms, including maintaining contract deliverables, and verifying contracted pricing. Conduct bill review for select suppliers. Manages performance of suppliers, establishing mechanisms for Service Level Agreement (SLA) measurement, reporting cadence and standard operating procedure (SOP) updates. Provides input during contract formation including terms, service level agreements and pricing. Analyzes IT trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply and utilize emerging opportunities. Assesses and minimizes Central’s risk exposure, including reputational, legal, financial, business continuity planning and testing and cyber security. Requests and ensures receipt of Vendor Risk Assessment, SOC Reports, background and references checks, and income statements and balance sheets for IT’s critical vendors. What You'll BringBachelor’s Degree in business or insurance and 1 year experience in a similar roleOr 3 years’ experience in a similar roleTechnical and business management acumen; advanced knowledge of insurance and broad understanding of UW.Excellent communication skills and ability to influence, guide, and collaborate with others.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to multi task responsibilities.Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail. Preferred Experience with UW contracts, service level agreements and supplier management.
