Central Jersey Internal Medicine Associates is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Monroe, NJ

Central Jersey Internal Medicine Is a reputable and privately owned Primary Care/Internal Medicine Practice. We have 2 locations: Somerset and Monroe New jersey. We are looking to hire a Medical Receptionist for the Monroe Office.

Our practice consists of 5 Internist (MD's), 4 Nurse Practitioners and a Registered Dietitian. The receptionist is a critical component to delivering high quality and efficient patient care. As a busy practice, the receptionist must thrive in such atmospheres and possess outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well as part of a team.

Job Description:

  • Answering high volume phones, basic screening/triaging calls and taking accurate detailed messages
  • Greeting patients and addressing any issues/concerns they may have
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)- we use athena
  • Experience and understanding of general Medical Terminology
  • Scheduling, modifying or cancelling patient appointments
  • Handling medical insurance co-payments
  • Accurate scanning of medical records
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving and conflict/resolution skills
  • Maintaining patient records and proper documentation
  • Able to multi-task effectively, prioritize work and complete assignments
  • HIPPA compliance
  • Experience with Pre-authorizations and pre-certifications/referrals
  • Regular communication with hospitals, specialist offices and other healthcare facilities
  • Excellent organizational Skills
  • Maintains a professional status and offers support to your team of receptionists and colleagues
  • Thrives as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
