Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Enrollment Specialist to join our team. As an Enrollment Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely enrollment of patients into our healthcare system. This position requires strong knowledge of medical coding, HIPAA regulations, and patient service. Duties:
- Process patient enrollments and verify insurance coverage
- Collect and review patient information for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary medical records and documentation
- Assist patients with the enrollment process, answering any questions or concerns they may have
- Coordinate with discharge planning teams to ensure smooth transitions for patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient enrollments and related documentation
- Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to medical coding and enrollment

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems
- Familiarity with medical coding procedures and guidelines
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients
- Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
