Central Garden & Pet is Hiring a Warehouse Manager - DC Near Monroe, NJ

The Warehouse Manager - DC reports to the Operations Manager TFH/ Four Paws/ IMS Shipping & Receiving and is responsible for planning, organizing, and monitoring the shipping, storage, and distribution of all items received. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring smooth operations, between both warehousing and supplies, so that all parts and supplies are easily located and distributed to the proper department.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
  • Manage a team of warehouse personnel, including supervisors, pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
  • Ensuring that employees operate within the procedures set by QA/QC department.
  • Maintain enough personnel to accomplish the flow of materials for production in an effective and efficient manner. Ensure associates' ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials, counsels, records, and disciplines as necessary.
  • Provide appropriate equipment and racking to ensure safe transport and storage of all materials. 
  • Monitor the flow of paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
  • Ensure materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
  • Monitor shipping performance for accuracy, receiving reporting, movement, and storage of material, and transfers to production or shipments.
  • Communicate problems and/or corrective actions involving personnel, equipment, and paperwork to the appropriate manager. 
  • Provide training and ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as required. 
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role. 
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. 
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Bilingual – Spanish & English.
