Central Coast Commission for Senior Citizens is Hiring a Contracts Manager Near Santa Maria, CA

POSITION TITLE:Contract Manager

CLASSIFICATION: Full Time

REPORTS TO:Executive Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for the monitoring, assessment, and technical assistance attendant to the operations of programs financed through the Area Agency on Aging Area Plan to ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements, regulations, rules, codes, etc.

· Responsible for the monitoring, assessment, and technical assistance attendant to the operations of programs financed through the Older Californians Act to ensure compliance with State requirements, regulations, rules, codes, etc.

· Responsible for maintenance of records/data of all federal and non-federal grant programs. This includes monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the AAA Director, reports to the California Department of Aging and other funding sources.

· Responsible for the relationships with subrecipient agencies of the Area Agency on Aging.

· Assists the Area Agency on Aging Director with preparation, assessment and interpretation of subgrantee proposals and reports.

· Responsible for the implementation of the Management Information System for both federal and non federal programs of the Area Agency on Aging. Includes enhancements to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements.

· Recommends modifications regarding any aspect of the AAA relationship with subrecipients.

· Coordinates activities with Financial Manager and AAA Director, as appropriate.

· Provides guidance to AAA Director and appropriate internal committees regarding the operations of the AAA- funded programs, such as Requests for Proposal.

· Performs other duties as assigned by Area Agency on Aging Director.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Skills:

· Be socially perceptive (aware of the reactions of others and understanding those reactions).

· Good coordination skills and the ability to adjust one’s actions in relation to others’ reactions.

Knowledge:

· Knowledge of standard grant procedures, inventory procedures, contract management, and internal control procedures. Knowledge of senior programs and services preferred.

· Knowledge of WordPress, WIX or other website platforms a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· A minimum three to five years of education and experience with increasingly responsible positions in contract management and/or related fields.

· Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or related fields a plus.

· Proficiency in DocuSign is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some travel throughout Santa Barbara County is required. Filing is also required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.

TRAVEL:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be required.
