EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist program required.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Experience with a vaccination program preferred.
• Cardiopulmonary and Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification required; Candidates who do not have the certification may still apply but must acquire a certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must possess knowledge of the healthcare field including medical terminology and the use of electronic health records.
• Familiarity with medical laboratory and Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR)
• Must be able to work cooperatively with staff and others involved in the delivery of service to patients.
• Must maintain confidentiality relating to treatment in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
