Work description- Company's Platform Engineering has various external tools we deploy and maintain:
- Helix ALM is a tool from Perforce, used by Verily products for formal requirement and test management. Helix is deployed to GCE.
- Sourcegraph is a code search tool deployed to GKE.
- GitHub Enterprise is Verily's code repistory and is SaaS (i.e. deployment isn't managed by Verily).
Needs:
- Handle occasional maintenance (e.g. update or restart Helix or Sourcegraph).
- User management (e.g. adding users, teams, and managing permissions to these products).
- Handle occasional issues through UI or command-line (e.g. retry a workflow).
- Mediate customer issues with external support (e.g. redirect users to GitHub or Perforce support).
Skills Needed-
- Familiarity with VMs, remote access.
- Familiarity installing, updating, and managing software and licenses.
- Experience managing, investigating, and prioritizing user issues.
- [nice to have] Familiarity with GCP's GCE and GKE platforms.
- [nice to have] Familiarity managing GitHub Enterprise or other source control.
