Rheumatology - Advanced Practice Provider: NP or PA

Come join our Rheumatology team of three experienced physicians and provide specialized care to adults experiencing arthritis-related conditions or autoimmune diseases.

 The Rheumatology Advanced Practice Provider provides comprehensive health care assessments, diagnoses, initiates appropriate care and treats of a variety of responses throughout the adult care continuum, and continuous evaluation of outcomes. 

Schedule: 

• Option of 0.5-1.0 FTE
• Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm 
• No nights, weekends, or call

What types of conditions will you assess?

• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis
• Bursitis, tendinitis and other and other soft tissue rheumatic syndromes
• Psoriatic arthritis and Gout
• Scleroderma
• Polymyalgia rheumatica
• Myositis
• Lupus
• Sjogren’s Syndrome
• Ankylosing Spondylitis
• Lyme Disease
• Raynaud’s Phenomenon
• Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
• Polyarteritis Nodosa, Wegener’s Granulomatosis

What types of treatments will you perform/order/prescribe?

• DEXA scan (Bone densitometry for osteoporosis)
• IV infusion for arthritis
• IV infusion for gout
• IV infusion for lupus
• IV infusion for osteoporosis
• Joint injections
• Carpal tunnel injections
• MRI

Position Requirements

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant or other appropriately licensed provider in Minnesota.
• Must have successfully completed a formal program approved by a national accrediting agency and be verified by a national certification organization recognized by the state of Minnesota. 
• Previous experience as an advanced practice provider is preferred.
• Clinical (adult medicine) experience with pain management, orthopedics, infusion, or Rheumatology is preferred. 
• Must have advanced practice prescriptive privileges.
