Hospitalist - Nurse Practitioner & Physician Assistant

The Hospitalist Team at St. Cloud Hospital might be what you're looking for!
0.9FTE - 12-hour shifts between the hours of 6:00am-6:30pm and 11:00 am-11:30pm. Every 3^rd weekend and rotating holidays.
 
As a Hospitalist at St. Cloud Hospital you will be part of an important team that provides patient care- 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You will have the privilege of seeing patients who are counting on you to be readily available to them and their family members to provide care, answer questions and offer resources. The provider hired into this role will join our hospitalist team of 55 physicians and 10 Advanced Practice Providers. 
 
As a member of the hospitalist team you will:

• Provide quality care for adult patients and families;
• Treat patients with diagnoses of chest pain, syncope, heart failure, pneumonia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, Epistaxis, COPD, dehydration and Upper GI Bleed;
• Serve as a resource to nursing, care management, and other patient care providers;
• Assess, plan, evaluate, implement, and coordinate care of adult patients under the direction of the hospitalist service;
• Engage in a collaborative practice with other hospitalist physicians and APPs on the team;
• The Hospitalist APP service manages cardiac surgery diabetic patients;
• And much more!

Qualifications:
 
Education 
Successfully completed a formal nurse practitioner or physician assistant program approved by a national accrediting agency. 
Experience 
Minimum of three years direct patient care experience (AGNP or PA) in an acute care environment such as Critical Care, ER, Hospital Medicine (Hospitalist) or other inpatient specialty required.

Licensure and Certifications 
Current licensure as a APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) in the State of Minnesota required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.

Must have a current Physician Assistant (PA) license in Minnesota and Certification from NCCPA.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.

Our Advanced Practice Hospitalists work autonomously on the Observation Unit and work collaboratively with the hospitalist physicians on medical units, progressive units, neuro units, cardiac care units and bone and joint units.
