The Opportunity...
Centerfield is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our technology team and to collaborate with project owners, developers, and other stakeholders acting as a subject matter expert to ensure automated testing of applications under test. The QA Automation Engineer will create automated scripts, maintain the test suites continuously, and brainstorm scalable solutions to expand on the current framework.
How You'll Contribute...

• Develop test scripts that are readable, scalable, and flexible based on requirements given by the stakeholders and through requirements analysis
• Develop a strategy to ensure prioritization of test coverage of the applications under test and review with the team to ensure coverage of API / web/database testing
• Analyze reports of automated test runs to determine defects found and the tests that would need to be updated and maintained
• Work within Engineering to improve the quality of test scripts from a business standpoint and through best practices of developing automated test scripts
• Monitor and review other team members' automated test suites as well as offshore running automated tests
• Serve as a resource to the team to provide guidance and mentorship across various QA automation initiatives

What We're Looking For...

• Minimum 5 years of experience with software quality assurance, including:
• Hands-on experience with AI-related capabilities/technologies (nice to have)
• Experience working on Service Virtualization
• Cross-browser testing (for example - on Desktop, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge)
• Mobile Testing (for example - Appium)
• Prior experience working in an automation framework with components such as Java, TestNG, and Selenium WebDriver
• API testing, Web Services (for example, experience using libraries such as RestAssured in Java)
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins
• Experience working with version control, such as Git
• Experience working with cloud browser platforms, such as BrowserStack
• Experience working with HTML, XML, JSON, CSS
• Experience creating performance tests, load tests, and stress tests with tools such as JMeter (nice to have)
• Experience working with databases that are SQL-based and NoSQL-based
• Analytical, problem-solving, the ability to see the root cause of the problem and come up with efficient, creative, and cost-effective solutions
