Nursing Dispenser (LVN, RN or Psych Tech) (Looking for Both Full Time & On-Call Positions, On-Site)
Pay: 35 - 45 Per hour (Full Time & On-Call Available) 
*** Drug Abuse Alternatives Center is looking to fill several Dispensing roles with exciting new future opportunities. Dispensing hires will have the opportunity to work within our REAP Clinic while also exploring potential career paths towards both our Mobile Dispensing Program as well as through our New Detox and Residential Facility. Organizational Information:
Redwood Empire Addiction Program (REAP) is the clinical arm of Center Point DAAC. We provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to Medi-Cal, Medicare, Kaiser and private-pay clients. MAT refers to a comprehensive approach to substance abuse treatment that combines the use of FDA-approved medications with counseling, behavioral therapies, and support services. While honoring the inherent worth and dignity of every human being. Methadone and Suboxone are the most common medicines currently, but we are looking to expand our offerings. Our work is guided by SAMSHA’s model of Harm Reduction. We strive to maintain client engagement and “provide life-saving tools and information to prevent overdose and infection transmission; improve physical, mental, and social wellbeing; and offer low barrier options for accessing health care services, including substance use and mental health disorder treatment” (https://www.samhsa.gov/find-help/harm-reduction). Job Brief:
Responsible for the preparation/administration of medication and maintenance of records for REAP patients during certain clinic hours as part of a team of treatment providers in the methadone treatment program. Ensures compliance with Title IX regulations.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares, dispenses, and cleans up after daily medication dispensing.
  • Evaluates side effects and patient’s reactions to medication daily.
  • Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of medication inventory.
  • Maintains accurate and thorough reconciliation of medication inventory.
  • Transcribes physician’s notes.
  • Responsible for the thorough and accurate documentation of physician’s orders.
  • Apprises Medical Director of changes in patient’s medical condition.
  • Participates in weekly staff meeting.
  • Coordinates with Sonoma County Detention Facilities to administer medication to incarcerated patients.
  • Coordinates with hospitals and inpatient programs regarding patient medication.
Skills:
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain productive work relationships with patients, employees, management, external agencies and the public.
  • Positively represents the program/organization in the community.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate boundaries with clients and staff as outlined in DAAC’s Professional Code of Conduct.
  • Maintains current license/certification and supporting CEU’s as required.
  • Ability to use effective judgment in therapeutic and crisis situations.
  • Ability to recognize and manage personal bias.
  • Ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Ability to maintain own psychological well-being.
  • No felony convictions within the past five years.
  • No misdemeanor convictions within the past two years.
  • No current criminal charges pending.
  • Possesses a valid California Driver’s License.
  • Maintains current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Accurate mathematical calculation skills.
