Our services are delivered in the most appropriate environment for the child, whether that is in the home, daycare, school, or one of our kid-friendly outpatient clinics in Danville, Lynchburg, South Boston or Martinsville, Virginia. Job DescriptionThe Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for the treatment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes; providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. As well, the Occupational Therapy Assistant must document and record the patient’s condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy methods. The OTA works under the supervision of the OT, collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, PTs, SLPs, and teachers. QualificationsMust have graduated from an accredited school Current Virginia license as a Occupational Therapy Assistant or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Occupational Therapy AssistantCurrent CPR certification Valid driver's license Experience in pediatric occupational therapy (preferred, not required)Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
