These positions require travel among patient homes in Danville and Pittsylvania County, Virginia. You must provide your own transportation. JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Occupational Therapist in Home Health is responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, evaluation of level of function, development of the treatment plan (revising as necessary), preparation of clinical and progress notes, advising consultation of family and other agency personnel, and participation in in-service programs. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will support the Occupational Therapist in treating the patient, communicating with the primary therapist, and all documentation as necessary. A candidate must:Assist the physician in evaluating the level of function, disability, injury, or disease process of individual patients by applying diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests.Provide treatment as ordered by the attending physician to relieve pain.
