Center for Pain Medicine, LLC is Hiring a Medical Biller Near Fargo, ND

Center for Pain Medicine is an independent interventional pain practice in Fargo, North Dakota committed to delivering highly effective cutting-edge therapies for patients with spine and joint related pain. Our experienced team strives to provide the highest standard of patient-centered care with a focused purpose of helping each patient function at their personal best.

CPM Ambulatory Surgery Center is accredited by Joint Commission and provides the optimal environment for performing all interventional pain management procedures including implanting intrathecal drug delivery systems and spinal cord stimulators as well as executing regenerative medicine injection therapy.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG) to diagnoses and procedures
- Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any denials or rejections
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies or coding issues
- Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to medical billing and coding

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) strongly preferred
- Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-10 coding, and medical billing software/systems
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, reimbursement processes, and medical collection practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
