Description:
The Center for Biological Diversity’s Endangered Species Program seeks a motivated and organized intern to conduct monitoring of livestock grazing allotments for impacts to endangered bull trout and steelhead habitat in eastern Oregon from July 1st to October 15th. The intern will be required to spend long days in the field and camp. The internship is paid and will provide valuable experience with one of the nation’s most respected and cutting-edge environmental organizations.
Duties:
The intern will conduct monitoring of livestock grazing allotments primarily on the Malheur National Forest, but potentially other eastern Oregon forests to determine if cattle are in areas restricted to grazing and to identify and photograph damage to riparian and aquatic habitats important to Endangered Species Act protected salmonids.
