Geriatric/Psychiatric Registered Nurse

We are looking to grow our nursing team with Registered Nurses who are experts in geriatric and/or psychiatric care. We are a brand new, short-term stay hospital located in Maryland Heights. We are currently looking to fill full-time or part-time day shifts (7am-7pm). Apply now and ask about our sign on bonus opportunity!

We would love for you to consider an opportunity to help our new 16-bed geriatric psychiatry hospital grow and carry out our vision of bringing communities, healthcare providers, and families together to improve behavioral health, one patient at a time.

Our newly built state of the art acute geriatric hospital will bring about a new vision in behavioral health care to the greater St. Louis area. NHC sees itself as a partner with the surrounding community as we provide psychiatric care to geriatric patients who require inpatient hospitalization due to cognitive illnesses as a result of stroke or dementia and other mental health disorders. As an RN you are responsible for providing professional nursing care to person(s) receiving services in a supportive and therapeutic environment within the scope of their professional license. Provide and coordinate care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of person(s) receiving services, develop and implement nursing care plans, maintain medical records, and educate person(s) receiving services and their families about various physical and behavioral health conditions.

What you will need:

Education:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent from an accredited school of Nursing.
  • Licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri.

Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in geriatric and/or psychiatric nursing is preferred, but not required.
