Center for Allied Health Education is Hiring a Surgical Technology Instructor Near Brooklyn, NY
Position Summary:
The role of the Instructor is to instruct and supervise students in clinical and didactic education settings and/or perform professional formal classroom instructions and demonstrations.
Responsibilities:
• Understands clinical objectives and evaluation system
• Executes teaching assignments for clinical and didactic application
• Supervises & teaches students in clinical and didactic application
• Evaluates progress of students in clinical and didactic application
• Maintains performance record of each student
• Checks attendance of students in clinical and didactic application
• Performs competency evaluations of students
• Makes reports orally or in writing on all students
• Maintains current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development
• Serves as a member of the Faculty Organization Committee
Requirements:
- Have within the last five (5) years: A minimum of three (3) years of either operating room experience or teaching in the field.
- Have within entire work history: A minimum of two (2) years of occupational experience.
- Accredited Surgical Technology Program Certificate required,
- Associates’ Degree or higher required
- Current AST certification BPSS Teacher License preferred
