Centennial Joint Care is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Braselton, GA

Job Overview:

Centennial Joint Care is at the forefront of orthopedic healthcare, specializing in knee health and rehabilitation. As we expand our services, we are looking for a dedicated full-time Office Manager to lead our clinic operations, drive patient traffic, and enhance the patient experience.

Duties:

Patient Care:

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examination.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
  • Take vital signs and record patient information accurately.
  • Provide basic medical care, such as wound dressing and administering medications as directed by healthcare professionals.

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with other departments as necessary.
  • Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing assistance or directing to appropriate personnel.

Patient Communication:

  • Connect effectively with senior patients, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately about medical procedures, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Address any concerns or questions raised by patients and their families, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their healthcare journey.

Equipment and Supplies:

  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available.
  • Sterilize medical instruments and equipment following established protocols.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need replenishment.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Work closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other medical assistants to ensure efficient clinic operations and a positive work environment.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities and assist with audits as needed.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical office management, preferably in a healthcare setting focused on orthopedics or similar specialties.
- Demonstrated ability to drive patient traffic and improve patient experiences.
- Thorough knowledge of medical billing, insurance verification, and prior authorization processes.
- Exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in database and patient management software.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information professionally.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
