Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering patient-centered care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Obtain patient vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
• Perform basic laboratory tests and specimen collection as needed
• Administer medications and injections under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider
• Provide patient education and instructions on medication, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR)
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
• Handle phone calls, inquiries, and other administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
• Certified or registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
• Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
• Proficiency in medical terminology, clinical procedures, and EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
• CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
