Locations

All CenClear Preschool locations. Candiates can choose which centers:

Centre County: Bellefonte, Pleasant Gap, Rebersburg, Howard, Wingate, Port Matilda, State College, Mountaintop

Clearfield County: Bigler, Philipsburg, Clearfield/Hyde, Grampian, West Branch, Moshannon Valley, Coalport, Dubois, Harmony, Philipsburg

Elk County: Ridgway, St Marys

Hours

Classes run Monday through Friday, start and end time will vary depending on the center. This is on an as needed basis.

Compensation

The position is compensated on an hourly basis at $13.79. Reimbursement for time and mileage is provided based on the company's reimbursement policy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience working with young children
• Documented good physical health
• Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History, PA Child Abuse History, FBI Criminal History, and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Responsibilities

• Work with children aged 3 to 5
• Provide coverage as needed for the following positions or provide coverage of certain duties of each position: Classroom Assistant, Classroom Assistant 3rd Person, Bus Aide, Personal Care Aide and Food Service
• Classroom Assistant/3rd Person:
  • Assist the teacher with implementing child activities
  • Set up and maintain an organized classroom environment
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Adhere to program regulations and guidelines
  • Additional hours could be provided for duties such as light cleaning, child transportation and break coverage
• Bus Aide:
  • Assist children in boarding and exiting the bus safely
  • Ensure children are properly buckled in their seat belts
  • Follow assigned bus route and schedule for pick-up and drop-off
  • Collaborate with the bus driver to maintain a safe and orderly environment
  • Communicate with parents as needed regarding transportation arrangements
• Personal Care Aide:
  • Help implement goals and objectives for children
  • Adapt classroom settings to accommodate individual needs
  • Support children in the classroom to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Encourage and teach independence and self-help skills
  • Escort children to and from the classroom
  • Complete and submit paperwork within the required timeframes
• Food Service:
  • Food preparation
  • Washing dishes
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing
  • Follow all CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Programs) regulations and the food service manual
• Maintain a professional attitude and confidentiality concerning information about CenClear staff, children, parents, consumers/clients, and families.
• Attend all required staff meetings and participate in on-the-job training
• Communicate openly with supervisor by reporting any issues, concerns, or problems.
• Practice social responsibility by checking email daily and responding in a timely manner.
