Cellulose Material Solutions, LLC (CMS) a fast growing, local manufacturing company, producing innovative products from recycled fibers for multiple industries, located in Jenison, MI, has a job opportunity for a full-time plant maintenance technician.

Job Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Responsible for Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned

Education & Experience

• Experience includes welding, electrical trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, hydraulic and pneumatic experience and installing and maintaining large manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Candidates should have the flexibility to work weekends or an off shift, should production needs require it. 2nd and 3rd shift premiums apply.
• Must have some electrical troubleshooting experience with PLC Controls Systems.
• Ability to operate various types of equipment including forklift, platform lift, etc. Operates welder, plasma cutter and cutting torch.
• Knowledge of hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools necessary
• Knowledge of the following equipment: packaging equipment, shredding equipment, belt conveyors, water pumps, pneumatic conveying equipment, and air filter equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Hydraulics knowledge
• Good Housekeeping and organization skills needed
• Fabrication of parts and components for production equipment.
• Additional jobs as requested by management.
