Position Summary : The Courier Operations Supervisor assists the Transportation Manager in full spectrum of the Courier Department and is responsible for maintaining broad knowledge of routes, fleet, vendors, and software. The Courier Operations Supervisor interacts with physicians, patients, and hospital staff. It is crucial that the Supervisor is knowledgeable about HIPAA, CAP, DOT, and IATA regulations, and practices and enforces all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procedures. In addition, the Courier Operations Supervisor is responsible, and delegates additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to the Courier Operations Supervisor. Position Shift: Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 9:30pm with on-call expectations for weekdays/weekends. Essential Duties:
Assists in all aspects of staffing, including but not limited to scheduling, budgeting and Courier team performance reviews.
Assists in the management of daily staff operations and oversight.
Ensures regulatory compliance at all locations.
Ensures staff at all divisions adherence to policy and procedures.
Meets regularly with CellNetix retention representative to discuss client feedback.
Communicates with clinic contacts to ensure efficient specimen collection practices are in place as needed.
Assist and adhere to new policy guidelines and Courier training.
Ensures that all protocols are followed, and service failures are documented and reported.
Provides backup assistance to Couriers.
Provides backup training as needed.
Additional tasks and assignments as needed.
Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity with lab equipment
Qualifications/Experience:
High school diploma required. (Bachelors preferred)
1-3-years of transportation experience is required
2 years of medical courier experience preferred
Leadership experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
Pathology experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Be able to stand for over 2.5 hours at a time
Be able to move around in tight spaces
Be able to sit up to 8 hours a day
Environmental hazards such as formalin, communicable disease, fresh human tissue, etc. are present in the workplace
