We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Staten Island, New York! As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, promoting and selling products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties:
- Greet customers and assist them in finding the right products
- Provide product information and answer any questions or concerns
- Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately
- Process activations, upgrades, accessory sales, payments, returns, and exchanges
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Assist with inventory management
- Meet sales targets and goals
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities
Requirements:
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred
- Knowledge of wireless products, electronics, or related products is a plus
- Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions
- Basic math skills for calculating prices, discounts, and change
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is beneficial
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Ability to handle cash accurately and maintain cash handling procedures
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
