Celink is Hiring a SVP Accounting Near Austin, TX

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to GAAP and private equity-owned company accepted practices.
  • Oversee the operations and staff of Accounting Department
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and controls.
  • Oversee the accounting operations of the parent company, including transaction processing operations and financial
  • Manage individuals/teams of accounting professionals across multiple geographic locations.
  • Issue timely and accurate financial statements and reporting to the Board of Directors
  • Provide financial analyses as requested by CFO and/or other members of Executive Leadership
  • Manage external financial auditor relationship and coordinate information for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain banking relationship with commercial banks and oversee cash management process.
  • Participate in various Risk Committees and help to foster a culture of risk management, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Partner with Risk to maintain Company business insurance policies and compliance with regulatory reporting.
  • Provide support to Vendor Management team.
  • Serve as the Accounting leader with regards to change management activities and ERP implementation / technology improvements
  • Partner with project teams on servicing system rewrite and assist with implementation and testing of system enhancements and financial transactions infrastructure.
  • Manage tax function including provisions and compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Oversee accounts payable, payment processing, and accounts receivable
  • Review and approve all general ledger accounts monthly to ensure timely reconciliation and resolution of outstanding
  • Oversee intra-company account receivable
  • Oversee escheatment process.
  • Develop and implement documented processes and procedures and process improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain risk analysis and ensure internal controls exist to mitigate / eliminate risks.
  • Assist in M&A, business development, due diligence, and integration as required.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience resulting in advanced knowledge of accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of applicable experience; 10 of which must have been in leadership.

Experience/Training

  • Experience managing external auditors and tax preparers as well as banking relationships.
  • Extraordinary intellectual horsepower and relentless drive for continuous improvement; operates with a sense of urgency and bias for action.
  • Mortgage accounting work experience is highly desirable.

Professional Certification/License

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar designation strongly preferred, but not required.

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills.
  • Strong communications skills with internal and external stake holders (clients, vendors, auditors, etc.)
  • Courage to raise concerns and issues that need to be addressed to ensure sound internal controls, risk reduction and reporting accuracy; ability to make tough decisions.
  • Prior success in building strong relationships across an organization beyond the accounting function.
  • Outstanding proficiency in critical thinking, problem solving and connecting dots; ability to drill down to true root cause on issues.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills. Ability to interact effectively with external and internal clients across departments and locations.
  • You have a strong ability to recognize, attract, and develop high performers.
  • You will consistently collaborate and partner with cross-function teams and leaders.
  • Ability to balance technical accounting knowledge with a broad understanding of business performance and objectives.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and distribute workload for optimum efficiency.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate staff to achieve their goals. Flexibility to engage remote team members to perform at their best.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a professional office environment with no unusual hazards. There may be some travel with overnight stays. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
