Celebrity Hotel is a small business in Deadwood, SD. We have 22 rooms of various designs. We are innovative and our goal is to Hire and train a head housekeeper to maintain and clean our rooms on a daily basis.

Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team. As the Head Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning of the rooms, laundry area, and the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility. Responsibilities include cleaning of the rooms, training, scheduling, inventory and overseeing the housekeeping dept. This is a leadership role that requires strong management skills and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Supervise and train housekeeping staff, ensuring they adhere to established cleaning procedures and standards

- Assign daily tasks and monitor progress to ensure all areas are cleaned and maintained properly

- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety regulations

- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning operations

- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed

- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to optimize efficiency and maintain high standards of cleanliness

- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns regarding housekeeping services

- Collaborate with maintenance department to address any repairs or maintenance issues related to housekeeping operations

- Train new hires on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and company policies

Requirements:

- Previous experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting

- Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques, including our state cleaning protocols and chemical usage.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Proficient computer skills for managing schedules, inventory, and reports
