Located minutes from downtown Austin, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a level IV Designated Trauma Center with more than 600 healthcare professionals working together to provide inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care for Cedar Park and the greater Austin region.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced PBX / Switchboard Operator to join our team! This is a full time position working 7:00 pm – 7:30 am every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. The PBX Operator operates the hospital switchboard, answering and completing all incoming calls with a positive attitude and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the hospital receptionist, receiving and directing visitors and guests
• Accurately takes messages or transfers calls to appropriate personnel or voice mail
• Accurately entering patients presenting to the Emergency Department into the MEDHOST and HMS system
• Maintains open communication, cooperation, and coordination with other departments striving mutual accomplishment of goals and objectives of the hospital
• Operates general office machinery
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent
• Minimum one (1) year of hospital switchboard operating, or related experience preferred
