Scheduling Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Residential Options

We are a local non-profit organization founded in 1970 by Louisville-area parents of people with IDD. What you’ll do:

The Scheduling Coordinator shall be responsible for producing the monthly and daily schedule for the Direct Support Professional Staff and provide assistance to the Residential Coordinator, DSP Supervisor, Director of Residential Options, Director of Community Integration and Assistant Director of Residential Options to ensure all staffing needs are met.

  • Develops and coordinates scheduling for the Direct Support Professional Team and for Cedar Lake Residences.
  • Ensures staffing for all shifts with parameters given by the Director of Residential Options and the Executive Director.
  • Replaces staff related to call-ins, then documents accordingly.
  • Verifies the schedules reflect where employees are to work.
  • Reviews the daily schedules, verifies needs, and makes calls to ensure proper coverage is available.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and shift priorities to accommodate change and demand.
  • Provide consistency in DSP staffing.
  • Engage in constructive problem solving and exploration of new ideas.
  • Work toward high-quality decisions and overall organizational goals.
  • Review time clock system daily and makes time adjustments as needed.
  • Monitors hours, PTO, overtime, and reports to the appropriate Director or Supervisor on a routine basis.
  • Maintains a tracking system of all time and attendance related. Notifies appropriate supervisor of time and attendance levels requiring corrective action.
  • Assist and provide Orientation Training Schedules to staff as needed.
  • Attends scheduled In-Service training.
  • Attends professional and staff meetings and individual meetings as they include/effect DSP responsibilities.
  • Performs departmental duties as a substitute in the DSP department and /or Health Services department (if appropriately trained) when needed.
  • Completes credit card reconciliation process for assigned credit cards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

What sets you apart:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • One year’s experience working with individuals with intellectual & developmental disabilities is preferred.
  • Experience with maintaining and establishing daily & monthly schedules for multiple locations.
  • Ability to work on a network computer system is required.

What your typical schedule looks like:

  • Full-time, hourly, 40 hours per week. May include occasional weekends and evenings to meet resident/family and facility needs.
