Our Sacramento office is continuing to grow. We are currently looking to hire an Associate attorney with at least two full years of experience defending wage and hour class action cases and/or PAGA actions in California. Hybrid work arrangements will be considered.
This is a full time position with excellent benefits and a starting salary will range from $150,000 to $215,000 depending on experience.
Opportunity
Our firm’s PAGA defense practice is managed out or our Sacramento office and two of the partners in this office are the Northern California representatives for the Wage and Hour Defense Institute. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with experience and interest in this area to get substantial responsibility, learn, and work on complex cases, while being mentored by experienced PAGA and class action litigators.
Reporting to the Chair of CDF’s PAGA Litigation Practice Group, the attorney that fills this position will be responsible for working directly with employer clients to provide advice and counsel on high stakes wage and hour matters, drafting pleadings, drafting and arguing motions, drafting discovery and review and analysis of discovery responses, meaningfully participating in and contributing to overall strategy from case inception to completion, taking depositions, performing exposure analysis, attending mediations and engaging in settlement negotiations. There will also be opportunities to speak and publish on class action and PAGA issues.
