The Providing Climate Change and Health Community Support at the Local Level project aims to accelerate adaptation efforts and to increase local resilience by building the capacity of communities to plan and address the health effects of climate change. The CDC Foundation in collaboration with CDC’s National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) will provide grants, mentorship, partnership, and subject matter expertise to Midwest and Gulf South communities to pursue adaptation efforts that protect population health from climate change.
The CDC Foundation seeks candidates for a full time Project Manager, Climate & Health to lead the implementation of environmental justice initiatives with community-based organizations (CBOs). The Project Manager, Climate & Health will advise and coordinate technical assistance to CBO grantees, while liaising with CDC Foundation and CDC teams on day-to-day activities. This involves providing and coordinating technical assistance to implement local resilience plans and data collection initiatives and collaborating with CDC’S NCEH to share project progress and climate and health best practices for continued support of localized climate health initiatives.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work with the nation’s leading agency charged with protecting the public's health. The CDC Foundation offers a competitive salary and attractive benefits package. The expected hiring range for this position is $105,000-$120,000, depending on experience.
