Core Expectations:
· Minimum 9 years professional architectural experience in multi-family residential, hospitality, mixed-use, office and/or commercial projects. We are looking primarily for someone with project management, Construction Documents and Construction Phase Service experience who can lead a project from SD to CD to Final Occupancy/Post Occupancy. Knowledge of how to put together a set of Construction Documents and of Construction Phase Services/Contract Administration is critical for this role.
· Registered Architect preferred but not required. Full knowledge and understanding of architectural principles and practices required.
· Ability to mentor and designate tasks to junior staff members who will be under your management.
· Excellent knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
· Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancy.
· Knowledge in construction detailing and be able to direct production of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks
· Must possess exceptional scheduling, prioritization and coordination skills in order to manage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with all consultants.
·Excellent Verbal and written skills in order to manage communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants.
· Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative, technical, constructible solutions
· Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications
· Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
· Process submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFI
· Communicate/coordinate with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
· Ensure projects conform to contract and maintain positive, successful relationships with Clients.
· Specific knowledge of the following programs is required: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Professional programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and others.
