Join our team dedicated to Project Orion - the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. Our Cinematics Team excels in developing highly interactive cinematic sequences, leveraging animation libraries and motion capture to merge the realms of film and gaming uniquely. If your passion for cinema equals your interest in narrative design, and you're as adept with a camera as with visual scripting, this role is perfect for you.Working alongside our storytellers, you will craft interactive experiences that range from emotionally compelling to action-packed and spectacular. We have a diverse array of storytelling opportunities awaiting you!Daily ResponsibilitiesCreating compelling scenes with excellent pacing, acting, cinematography, editing and timing.Communicating with Designers, other departments and Leads to improve the readability of visual storytelling and establish perfect continuity of the story with gameplay.Setting up actor staging and cameras using custom and library animations.Working on the mocap stage with actors and helping the Cinematic Director with mocap-shoot preparation. Completing tasks on time and in high quality.Following and maintaining pipelines and technical requirements.QualificationsDeep understanding of what creates great storytelling and how to use means of expression to create coherent and memorable scenes and sequences.Perfect understanding of acting including posing and timing.Experience with narrative design and interactive storytelling, using visual scripting. Great knowledge of cinematography and editing.Experience directing and/or acting.Experience with working with a screenplay.Minimum 8 years of AAA games development experience (doing long-form projects from inception to completion).Self-motivated team player.Experience in using game engines: Unreal (preferably), Unity, Godot, REDkit etc.Technical problem-solving.Quick to adapt to company proprietary software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Nice to have:Genuine interest in the genre.Experience with MotionBuilder/Maya.Experience working with animation.Experience with MotionBuilder.Additional InformationThis job requires working in Boston, US.Working mode: in-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity. Health & Well-beingCompany paid medical healthcare (dental vision & mental).Paid Leave — 20 days of holiday for every team member per year (26 days after two years).No dress-code — we like to keep it casual.401K with employer matching.Gym Membership Reimbursement.Perks & Professional GrowthFlexible working hours.Trainings, lectures and courses — internal workshops, knowledge-sharing initiatives, online tutorials, and e-learning classes are all available.
