POSITION: Surgical Patient Navigator
DEPARTMENT: Surgery
HOURS: 0.6-0.8 FTE (48-64 hours per pay period)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Patient Navigator plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless coordination of care for patients undergoing large surgeries. This position primarily focuses on supervising the prior authorization process and providing essential patient education. The Patient Navigator collaborates closely with the clinic team to ensure that patients receive the highest quality of care and support throughout their surgical journey. The Patient Navigator will be point of contact for Joint Clinic, Education and follow up with patients that have undergone major surgeries (i.e.: colon resections, hernia repair, Cholecystectomy, Hysterectomy, other cases as not identified.)
