POSITION:  Mental Health Professional

HOURS:  1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)/Exempt

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $66,580 - $95,076 plus Productivity Bonus Available

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Evaluate/diagnose mental and behavioral health disorders of individuals through interview, assessment, observation and screening in order to:

  • Make appropriate referrals
  • Formulate and provide a course of mental health treatment
  • Provide treatment in collaboration and consultation with other providers

REQUIRED EDUCATIONS/TRAINING:

  • Masters degree in clinical practice field of psychology, mental health counseling, or social work. Licensed or eligible for licensure as a mental health professional through the relevant degree licensing board.
  • Demonstrates evidence of essential leadership, communication, education, collaboration, and counseling skills.
  • Proficient in communication technologies.
  • Effective organizational skills and demonstrates ability to maintain accurate notes and records.

SKILL(S):

  • Must have an advanced knowledge of mental health disorders, personality and human development, theories and models of treatment.
  • Must possess strong skills in conducting biopsychosocial diagnosis assessments, individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Must be knowledgeable and skilled in proving trauma-informed care and interventions.
  • Strong communication skills are required to interact effectively with patients, family members, multidisciplinary team members, community agencies, and other resource providers.
  • Must possess skills to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form.
  • Must possess skills in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Possess time management skills.
  • Possess critical thinking skills.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous clinic experience preferred, but not required.
